Abstract

The main objective of this study has been targeted towards the assessment of the usage of the academic library by students at Adichunchanagiri University (ACU) in Karnataka, India. A user survey was conducted in order to distinguish the significance of an effectual communication with the users of the academic libraries in the University This user survey was carried out to assess the optimal services and the emergent requirements of the users of the library. The outcomes of the survey indicate a general level of satisfaction among students regarding the internet facilities provided by the library and the electronic journals, bringing into limelight their reputation for learning and research activities at ACU. The high response rate suggests that the results reflect a reliable assessment of user satisfaction.
