Abstract

Books are the vehicles of human progress. One of the important tools to achieve this end is the habit of reading. Books can provide not only entertainment, but also knowledge, education, information and inspiration. Especially, a country like India, which is multi-religious and multi-lingual, with diverse cultures and traditions, can develop, when people living here are sensitive and mature. Discusses strategies that would help in promoting reading habits among children and adults
