Abstract The paper presents the state-of-the-art position of documentation and information services in agricultural universities in India. The authors on the basis of their survey report highlight the conventional documentation and information services, namely bibliographic service, current awareness service, abstracting and indexing service, reprographic and news clipping services. It gives the present situation of library automation, computerization, CD-ROM data base services, Internet and On-line facilities. It gives the availability of software operating systems, library work packages, electronic services like CD-ROM, On-line, E-mail, Multimedia, etc. Finally highlights the reprographic services provided by these libraries as the part of information services.
