Abstract

In this paper, we have attempted to analyze the Research Productivity of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) for the period 2002-2021 using the data extracted from SCOPUS and WoS databases. It was noticed that the Division of Mechanical Sciences, consisting of 11 Depts had the highest publications (12,522). The year 2021 registered the highest number of publications with 3,187 publications. Out of the 45,361 articles analyzed, Two-authored articles (13626) had the highest publications contributing to 30%. Journal articles were the peak type of documents with 71% (32,637) followed by Conference papers with 22% (10,191). The Journal ‘Current Science’ registered the highest number of articles that is 766 (2.2 %). It was also observed that the mean doubling time was 11 years.
