Describes early life of Dr. S R Ranganathan and the circumstances under which he grew and the forces that molded his personality. Lists his contributions, which broke new grounds. Mentions how his talents drew the attention of FLD and UNESCO. Establishment of INSDOC, Delhi Public Library and DRTC are fine examples of his vision.
