Abstract
The metaverse is a developing trend in librarianship, offering virtual interactions and impressive experiences, yet also bestows various types of challenges, such as, rapid technological advancements and accessibility discrepancies. There is an imperative requirement that libraries should provide a continuous training to digital librarians and establish partnerships with virtual museums and galleries to completely utilize the metaverse’s potential. The adoption of metaliteracy can decrease the digital gap and promote equal access to information, irrespective of socio-economic circumstantial or technological proficiency. Assessments can provide interactive and hypnotic experiences, while virtual reality technology can create virtual tours and experiences for users with limited mobility or access to physical spaces. The amplified reality can certainly enhance the learning experiences by overlaying digital information onto the real world.
