Abstract
This paper examines the level of utilization of the services of Nimbe Adedipe Library of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta by the undergraduates of the University. Three hundred copies of the questionnaire were distributed among students of various colleges of the University, out of which there were two hundred and forty six respondents (82%). The questionnaire sought to determine the frequency of their visits to the library, purpose for which they visit the library and problems faced in the use of the library. The survey revealed that students use the library mostly for preparing of their exams (43.08%) and writing class assignments (29.26%). The major inhibitor to the use of the library is the long distance between the campus and the town where most of the students reside. The paper recommends the more hostels should be built to accommodate more of the students. Lectures should lay more emphasis on classroom discussions/ seminars rather than lecture notes/ handouts. It also recommends the introduction of library orientation for fresh students and the inclusion of the use of the library in the school curriculum.
