Abstract

Dr P S G Kumar was a leader who indeed led the trail with dreaming more, doing more and becoming more which has inspired and continues to inspire many a library and information science (LIS) professionals to take action to contribute their best to the LIS field. Being a classmate and a friend, I was inspired to stretch myself and give everything I have to the profession. Dr Kumar was well known as a committed teacher and researcher who dedicated his entire life in enriching LIS literature. Just like his mentors, Dr S R Ranganathan and Prof P N Kaula, he always emulated the way they worked, lived and achieved their distinction. This article is an attempt to bring forth my views and memories and honour Dr P S G Kumar’s contributions to the field of Library and Information Science.
