Abstract
In the era of information explosion, the application of ICT is extending the facility of easy access use and misuse of intellectual legacy of the creators. In order to provide protection to the creators of intellectual property several efforts have been made at national as well as global levels presents papers discusses the need to protect the intellectual property of the creators and highlights the legal protection being extended for protection of intellectual property rights especially highlighting the areas such as inventions, trademark, industrial design, indicators of source, writings, paintings, musical work, dramatical works etc.
