Abstract
This paper brings into limelight the level of awareness and use of Open Courseware (OCW) by students at the CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. A well-structured questionnaire was distributed among 200 students who visited the campus library to achieve the objectives of the study. A random sampling technique was adopted to collect the responses. The findings revealed that 87.10% of the students are aware of OCWs and that 84.95% of the students were using them. Some of the most frequently used OCWs were the YouTube Channel (84.95%), National Digital Library of India (83.87%), and Self Study Courses (75.27%). More than half of the students (55.91%) had become aware of OCWs through the various library websites. The majority of students, which is 65.59%, used OCW at the campus library. Language barriers and copyright infringement were found to be one of the most important obstacles for users who were using the OCW frequently.
