Abstract Web resources are considered a vital part of human life in the 21st century. It has tremendously changed the way of seeking information. It is today important to learn and know the techniques for searching quick information.The study aims at assessing the use of web resources among the students and faculty of the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, AMU, Aligarh. The study reveals that web resources are useful to engineering students and elaborates on the problems faced while accessing and utilizing web resources. The study helps in planning, developing and extending the computer and Internet facilities. This study has a vital significance in redesigning the policy frame work with more emphasis on information technology and providing access to information.The survey helped a great deal in identifying the areas, which need to be looked into and stresses on the importance of providing better internet services to students and faculty members of the Engineering College.
