Abstract

The objective of this research is to recognize the knowledge and viewpoint of Rani Channamma University Belagavi (RCUB) scholars regarding the copyright infringement and its legislation. The study was conducted using a survey method with the primary data being collected through random sampling. The research scholars confront a vast variety of challenges, such as, expensive textbooks, limited information resources, and a total absence of understanding of the copyright infringement regulations. Although a substantial percentage of the researchers have an idea about fair use, it is suggested that the institutions should consider implementing policies and allocating resources to provide enough encouragement to the libraries in order to managing the copyright-related issues in an effective manner.
