Abstract
The current study offers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the Indian Journal of Labour Economics (IJLE). The target of this analysis aims to comprehend the publication trends, geographical distribution, authorship patterns, citation patterns, and article themes within the journal. The study also classifies prolific authors and influential articles. The study utilized the SCOPUS database and employed bibliometric analysis techniques for conducting the bibliometric analysis. The observations reveal fluctuations in the output of articles over time, with India emerging as a significant contributor. The analysis also highlights the international collaborations among countries. The patterns of authorship unravel the presence of both single-authored and collaborative articles. The text mining procedures reveal prominent research themes, including labour market dynamics, employment, gender disparities, working conditions, and the impact of COVID-19. The countless recommendations and the proposed future directions are dependent on the conclusions and are proposed for the IJLE. On an overall basis, this bibliometric analysis focuses the limelight on the research landscape of the IJLE and its profound impact within the field of labour economics. The journal continues to play a crucial role in advancing the understanding of labour economics issues, establishing itself as a reputable outlet for labour-related research in South Asia.
