Abstract

This article tries to conduct a study about the web presence of twenty-five Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT). The domain authority, page authority, Simple Web Impact Factor (SWIF), Self-Link Web Impact Factor (SLWIF), External-Link Web Impact Factor (EWIF), and the Revised Web Impact Factors (RWIF) of the websites of 25 IIIT were calculated. The total number of linked pages, self-links, external links, and in-links were calculated using Google’s advanced query syntax. The Google search engine and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tools were used to accomplish the objectives of the study. The IIIT located at Allahabad possessed the highest domain authority and page authority, IIIT Tiruchirappalli (33,636.36) has the highest SWIF, IIIT Dharwad (1.123) has the highest SLWIF, IIIT Surat (0.870) has the highest EWIF, and IIIT, Allahabad (0.740) has the highest RWIF. The study is distinctive in its own method since the majority of studies have been conducted on the websites of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), However, studies on Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are still meagre, especially in webometric studies. Consequently, the study is an endeavour to bridge this research gap.
