Email: gopalsinghusl@gmail.com Abstract The global changes, particularly, the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have profoundly impacted on the functioning of academic libraries across the world. The developments in ICT have transformed the users’ expectation from the libraries in various aspects. The methodologies adopted to build up collections and providing of services to the end users vary from the current previous practices. To meet the ever increasing demands of the end-users effectively, the libraries need to identify and adopt sound and worthwhile practices and benchmarks. This paper is a case study to assess the awareness, usage and satisfaction level of library services in the privately owned education institutions that receive no aid from any source.
