Abstract

The germination of any research that more often started off with a inconsequential point is considered to be a thought. This small concept is basically the take off point for all researchers and investigators. As we make a headway in the research, this point turns out to become a more comprehensive fact. However, when the researcher assesses all the facts, this significant point results in becoming smaller, thus turns out to be an outstanding opportunity for future research. This bibliometrics study tries to examine the LIS journals that are indicated in an array in the Web of Science (WoS). This is the latest research on this topic to offer the latest coverage and tendencies of the LIS journals index in WoS. The thirty-one journals are found in the LIS category. This research is attempting to analyse the LIS journals with a coverage spanning from the period 2014 - 2024. The study is also indicative of a that total number of 6833 articles that have been published during this period published by 7276 authors and co authors. The highest 714 (10.45%) articles are published in 2016. The highest double author articles 1964 (26.99%) are published during this year. The highly cited journal is Scientometrics, which is cited 4522 & 4392 times. The journal Information Communication & Society has the highest H-Index 67. In the analysis, there are some very interesting facts and results that were found. With the assistance of all the research parameters, this study comprises analyses of year wise articles and author distributions, year-wise authorship pattern, author collaboration, top prolific authors, year-wise citation analysis, degree of collaboration, and the latest trends is part of the analysis.
